DCCAK Issues Warning to Sheryl Cherono and Robert Mbaya

The Digital Content Creators Association of Kenya (DCCAK) has issued a press release addressing content creators Sheryl Cherono, also known as Sheryl Gabriella, and Robert Mbaya, popularly known as Baha, over content it describes as inappropriate.

The association has given them seven days to issue a public apology, warning that failure to comply could see the matter referred to the Communications Authority of Kenya and other relevant agencies, with possible requests for content removal or action against their social media accounts.

Sheryl Cherono is a well-known content creator and influencer, recognized for her engaging lifestyle and beauty content on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Robert Mbaya, or Baha, gained fame through his role in the popular Kenyan TV show 'Machachari' and has since transitioned into a successful social media personality, often sharing comedic and relatable content.

This warning from DCCAK comes amid increasing scrutiny of content created by influencers in Kenya, reflecting a broader conversation about accountability and the standards expected from digital creators. The association aims to uphold the integrity of the content creation industry, especially as it grows in prominence and influence.
