Family Dispute Erupts Over Bosco Kebati's Pension Funds
A new account has surfaced in the ongoing family dispute involving Linda Kebati and her mother Angelica Akinyi, centering on allegations regarding the management of pension funds belonging to Linda's late father, Bosco Kebati.
According to a message sent to Edgar, it is alleged that Linda and Angelica took Bosco to Stima SACCO, where he reportedly signed documents that led to a withdrawal of KSh 3 million from his account, followed by another KSh 1 million withdrawal. The message further claims that after these withdrawals, Bosco's belongings were hastily packed into a black polythene bag, and he was placed in a matatu and taken to a bus stop, where his first wife was allegedly asked to collect him. The sender claims he was in a broken wheelchair without even a cushion on the seat.
Linda Kebati is the daughter of Angelica Akinyi, Bosco's second wife, and has been vocal about her family's exclusion from funeral arrangements and the alleged mishandling of her father's pension funds. The family drama has attracted significant public attention, with criticisms directed at Angelica for her management of Bosco's affairs during his illness.
The dispute has intensified following Bosco Kebati's death on September 17, 2026, leading to competing narratives between the two families. The first family, including Bosco's first wife, Julie, has claimed they provided primary care for him during his illness and that the second family was not excluded from the funeral proceedings. This conflict has sparked widespread debate on social media, raising questions about family responsibilities, financial management, and burial customs in Kenya, as reported by Nairobi Eye.
