Geoffrey Mosiria Addresses University Suspension Rumors
Geoffrey Mosiria has publicly refuted claims circulating online that he was suspended or expelled from the University of Nairobi during his studies.
In a statement, Mosiria described these allegations as a "fake narrative," asserting that he was among the top students in his class, served as a class representative, and held a leadership role in the Students' Organization of Nairobi University (SONU). He emphasized that his academic record reflects his dedication and integrity during his university years.
Currently, Mosiria serves as the Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service. He has been active in various public discussions, recently defending his title as the "Woman Representative" and advocating for women's welfare. In August 2026, he called on the Communications Authority of Kenya to investigate the misuse of digital platforms that distribute harmful content to children, showcasing his commitment to social issues.
The rumors about Mosiria's academic history come at a time when he has been vocal about the exploitation of youth in political rallies, linking this to rising urban crime. His reassignment from the Environment docket to his current role by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja in November 2025 has also kept him in the public eye. Mosiria's recent actions, including rescuing a homeless man and assisting him in securing housing, further highlight his community engagement.
