Geoffrey Mosiria Helps Maddox Enter Rehabilitation

Gengetone artist Maddox has been admitted to a rehabilitation center after being found living on the streets, struggling with depression and drug addiction. This intervention was facilitated by Geoffrey Mosiria, Nairobi's Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, who stepped in after being alerted to Maddox's dire situation.

According to Mosiria, Maddox agreed to accept help following their conversation, marking a hopeful beginning to his recovery journey. Mosiria expressed gratitude to those who brought Maddox's condition to his attention, emphasizing the importance of professional treatment, family support, and faith in the recovery process.

Maddox, a member of the popular Gengetone group Boondocks Gang, has faced significant challenges since the disbandment of the group during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has contributed to his struggles with substance and alcohol addiction. His situation has raised public concern, highlighting the need for support for artists facing mental health issues.

In addition to Mosiria, music producer King Pheezle has also played a crucial role in Maddox's rehabilitation by encouraging him to commit to a structured six-month recovery program. This collaborative effort reflects a growing concern within the Kenyan entertainment community regarding the well-being of artists, with many fans and fellow musicians rallying behind Maddox, hoping for his recovery and return to music.
