LIST OF RUTO'S NEW CABINET THAT INCLUDES OPPOSITION

President William Ruto has unveiled his final list of Cabinet nominees. And it includes members from the opposition.

This follows his decision to dissolve the previous cabinet amid nationwide protests over new tax proposals.

President Ruto aims to create a "broad-based" government by appointing allies of opposition leader Raila Odinga as CS. But, this move has been met with skepticism, especially from the youth-led protest movement.

The Attorney General and East African Community and ASAL positions are yet to be filled.

Opposition Figures in the Cabinet

The new cabinet includes four opposition members, such as John Mbadi Ngo’ongo for Finance and James Opiyo Wandayi for Energy, aiming to foster unity.

Despite these changes, skepticism remains. The youth-led protest movement continues to demand broader reforms because President Ruto retained some old CSs including Kithure Kindiki and Kipchumba Murkomen.

The nominees must be approved by parliament.

President Ruto will soon announce the final two nominations.
