Mercy Kanini Discharged After Loss of Quintuplets

Comedian Eric Omondi has revealed that Kanini has received KSh 305,000 in support from well-wishers, while her hospital bill currently stands at KSh 228,000. He is appealing for continued support as the family prepares for the burial, which is set for next Friday in Kuria, Migori County.

Mercy Kanini, a 28-year-old mother from Juja, Kiambu County, gave birth to quintuplets at Thika Level Five Hospital on September 14, 2026. Tragically, all five newborns, weighing between 630 and 800 grams, died shortly after birth. This heartbreaking situation has drawn public sympathy and support, with many Kenyans rallying to assist Kanini during this difficult time.

Eric Omondi, known for his philanthropic efforts and comedic talent, has taken a leading role in advocating for Kanini, urging Kenyans to contribute towards her hospital bills and burial costs.
