Morara Kebaso Barred From Seeing Children Amid Family Dispute
Kenyan politician Morara Kebaso is at the center of a family dispute after reports emerged that he was barred from seeing his children at Woodcreek International School. This follows a fallout with his estranged wife, Mercy Makini, who allegedly instructed the school to deny him access.
According to reports, Morara confronted the school's principal, Oliver Omotto, after being informed that he could not see his children due to instructions from their mother. This incident adds another chapter to the ongoing public disagreement between Morara and Mercy, which has already involved accusations over parenting responsibilities, school fees, and their separation.
Morara Kebaso is known as a Kenyan politician and activist, having been involved in various social issues and public debates. His estranged wife, Mercy Makini, left their marital home on March 2, 2026, citing domestic violence as the reason for her departure, which has heightened the public scrutiny surrounding their family matters. The couple shares three children: Zainah, Garang, and MK Junior.
The situation escalated when Mercy, during a business trip to China, transferred their children from Rophine School to Woodcreek International School, significantly increasing the school fees. This decision has been a point of contention between the couple, with Morara previously expressing his concerns over the financial implications of the transfer. In response to the public nature of their dispute, Morara has apologized for airing private family matters, emphasizing the importance of privacy in relationships, according to Ynews.
