Sammy Boy's Lamborghini Purchase Under Scrutiny
A car dealer has cautioned Kenyans against succumbing to social media pressure, claiming that the Lamborghini Urus that forex trader and content creator Sammy Boy announced he had purchased on August 31 is still sitting at the showroom and up for sale.
The dealer's statement suggests that Sammy Boy may have created the impression of ownership while the luxury vehicle remains available for purchase. This raises questions about the authenticity of his claims regarding being the first Kenyan forex trader to own such a luxury SUV.
Sammy Boy, known for his flashy lifestyle and forex trading content, has previously made headlines for his extravagant purchases, including a KSh 24 million Mercedes GLE 53. His recent announcement about acquiring the Lamborghini Urus was celebrated by fellow entertainers, including 2Mbili, who referred to him as a trailblazer in the Kenyan forex trading community.
The situation is further complicated by the fact that shortly after Sammy Boy's claim, another forex trader, Raymond Omosa, known as Kenyan Prince, also purchased a Lamborghini Urus, reportedly paying KSh 64.5 million in cash. This has sparked a competitive atmosphere among forex traders in Kenya, where luxury car acquisitions are often showcased as symbols of success.
