Tyler Mbaya Sparks Controversy with Financial Literacy Remarks
Former Machachari actor Tyler Mbaya, popularly known as Baha, has found himself in the spotlight once again following the surfacing of an explicit video allegedly showing him masturbating. Just a day later, he released a video discussing financial literacy, making controversial remarks that have stirred public debate.
In the video, Tyler stated, 'Vile hujui Forex, that’s the same way venye ancestors wako walishindwa kugrab shamba,' implying that neglecting modern investment opportunities is akin to previous generations failing to acquire land. This comparison has drawn mixed reactions from his followers, with some supporting his views while others criticized the analogy.
Tyler Mbaya gained fame as a child actor in the popular TV series Machachari, which aired from 2010 to 2020. Since then, he has transitioned into a social media influencer and content creator, often sharing insights about his life and personal struggles. Recently, he has faced challenges, including a reported gambling addiction and a public fallout with his girlfriend, Georgina Njenga, who has also been in the news for her cryptic social media posts following their breakup.
In January 2023, Baha announced plans to take legal action against the individual who leaked a private video of Georgina Njenga, highlighting the ongoing issues of privacy and consent in the digital age. Earlier in June, he took a break from social media to focus on personal issues, which included his gambling struggles. His recent remarks on financial literacy come at a time when many young Kenyans are seeking guidance on investment opportunities amidst economic challenges.
