Sam Holdings Exposed as Scam Artist in Dubai Travel Scheme

Sam Njonjo, known as Sam Holdings, has been exposed as a scammer by one of his victims on #BNNPremium. The victim, an Instagram influencer, was lured with promises of a luxurious business class trip to Dubai, only to find herself the target of a deceitful scheme.

According to reports, Njonjo initially contacted the victim, claiming he would cover her flight costs, but required her to pay for her visa through an agent. After transferring KES 26,000 for the visa, she received fake airline tickets and visa approvals. The scheme escalated when Njonjo requested an additional KES 70,000 to convert to dirhams, under the pretense that the agent would provide her with cash upon arrival in Dubai. Ultimately, the victim discovered she was not boarding any flight, but instead had to return home empty-handed.

Sam Njonjo is a controversial figure, closely associated with former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko. He has gained notoriety for allegedly targeting young women online, using his lavish lifestyle showcased on social media to lure them into his scams. Njonjo's manipulative tactics have reportedly included arranging meetings in Nairobi and robbing women after engaging in sexual activities, further solidifying his reputation as a fraudster.

This incident is not isolated; in August 2025, he was accused of conning another woman under the guise of organizing a birthday trip to Dubai. Furthermore, he has faced public backlash from figures like former Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, who accused him of using his name to defraud unsuspecting Kenyans. Njonjo's repeated offenses have raised concerns about online safety and the vulnerability of individuals seeking travel opportunities.
