Sifuna and Owino Attend Raila Odinga Memorial Service

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino have arrived at Kisumu International Airport ahead of the memorial service for the late former Prime Minister Raila Amolo Odinga in Bondo, Siaya County.

The memorial service marks one year since Raila's passing, bringing together political allies, family members, friends, and supporters to honour the life and legacy of the veteran opposition leader, affectionately known as Baba.

Edwin Sifuna is well-known for his role in the Senate and as a prominent figure in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), where he has been vocal about issues affecting Kenyans. Babu Owino, on the other hand, has gained recognition for his outspoken nature and has been a key player in Nairobi's political landscape, often engaging in heated debates on various national issues.

The event is significant as it not only commemorates Raila Odinga's contributions to Kenyan politics but also highlights the ongoing political dynamics within the ODM party and the broader opposition landscape. Raila, who passed away in 2022, was a central figure in the fight for democracy and has left a lasting impact on the country's political discourse.
